Perspectives
Perspectives is our weekly newsletter. We provide an independent, often contrary, view of the economy and the markets. Our primary focus is on macro-economic trends and our expectations for what these devlopments mean for the investment environment, however we delve into fundamental valuations and occasionally technical analysis. Most analysis is biased, whether the analyst knows it or not. Though we do not offer investment advise, we do take positions in the markets based on our views and we make these positions known on a regular basis.
Datacruiser
The Datacruiser is J Arp & Company's proprietary economic data plotting tool. We continuously collect economic data from a variety of sources for our own analysis and research. Datacruiser makes retrieval and plotting time series data easy. Simply select the report from where the data comes from, select the series you want to analyze, the frequency, and the form (year-over-year % change, level, etc.). The user can perform comparison ratios, adjust figures for inflation, or perform correlation analysis with scatter plots. We are continuously adding data series and introducing new functionality, so updates to the software will be available regularly.
Java Charts
Java Charts is an online Java applet version of the Datacruiser data plotting tool. This allows you to have the functionality of the Datacruiser wherever you have a Java enabled web browser.
Quick Charts
Quick Charts allow you to create detailed times series charts or scatter plots with a few simple clicks. With Quick Charts you can also generate tables for any time series data.
Database Access
We have a large database of economic data and we are continously adding more data series. We bring together a variety of information to make it easier for you to find everything you need in one place.
